– Music Man - A fun and transformative story, The Music Man is family entertainment at its best!  This musical theatre classic features songs like “(Ya Got) Trouble,” “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “The Wells Fargo Wagon,” “Till There Was You,” “Gary, Indiana” and more! Meredith Willson’s six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation.  The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. April 3, 2020 - The Snowman Band - Rhythm and Praise!! The Snowman Band is fiery mix of New Orleans groove, New York Jazz, and Minneapolis funk. April 7, 2020 - Anoka/Washington County Head Start-Early Head Start Enrollment Open House - Come tour our Family Development Center in Coon Rapids and apply for our free 4-star Parent Aware rated Head Start-Early Head Start program. April 25, 2020 - 4-H Clover Dash 5K - Come run or walk with us to raise funds for Anoka County 4-H! We will be having a 5K and 2 mile walk.  Event will be held at the Bunker Hills Activities Center in Andover.  Funds will support healthy living programs, community service projects and scholarships for youth. This event is for everyone, runners, walkers, etc. Invite family, friends and co-workers for a fun-filled morning to help support 4-H youth programming in Anoka County. Medals and/or prizes awarded to top finishers. Random prize drawings for all participants except those 10 & under who will receive medals & goodie bags. Register 4 participants and get the 5th one of equal or lesser value free (available with mail or drop off only). April 28, 2020 - Anoka/Washington County Head Start-Early Head Start  Enrollment Information Night  - The Anoka/Washington County Head Start-Early Head Start program will be holding an Enrollment Information Night on April 28, 2020 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the St. Francis Community Center. Anoka/Washington County Head Start-Early Head Start serves children from birth to five and pregnant women. May 1, 2020 – The Darkest Night of Your Life 4K Walk/Run - On any given night, there are more than 6,000 youth experiencing homelessness in Minnesota. When darkness sets in, these youth are staying in their cars, couch-hopping or sleeping on the streets. (ACCAP) is committed to helping individuals in Anoka County, Minnesota out of poverty and into the community as productive citizens.  Information and referral services are offered to Anoka County residents through programs such as Child Care Resource & Referral and the Senior Information Line. ACCAP also provides direct services and subsidies to residents such as affordable housing, the Energy Assistance Program and the Child Care Assistance Program.  These programs and services help individuals and families in our community achieve their goal of self-sufficiency.
